Many Atlantic First Nation Health and Treatment sites are now equipped with Poly Studio X30 and Poly Studio X50 videoconferencing units. These advanced systems are designed to support:

  • Virtual care delivery
  • Professional development and training
  • Educational sessions
  • Collaboration between teams and partners

This videoconferencing technology helps improve access, communication, and service delivery across our communities. Below are some quick tips on how to use the Poly Studio X30 and Poly Studio X50 to join a Zoom or Microsoft Teams meeting effectively.

Join a Zoom Call Using Poly X30 and Poly X50

  • On the Poly TC 8 controller, select "Join". Select the Zoom icon.
  • Enter the Zoom Meeting ID and passcode you received in an email or calendar invite.
  • Once connected, make sure the far end can hear and see you.
  • If you want to share content from your laptop, select "Share Content" and follow the instructions on the TV screen and/or TC 8 controller

Join a Microsoft Teams Meeting with Poly X30 and Poly X50

The Poly Studio X30 and Poly Studio X50 with Zoom Rooms can accept MS Teams meeting invitations, but the quality and available features are limited.

  • On the Poly TC 8 controller, select "Join". Select the MS Teams icon.
  • Enter the MS Teams Meeting ID and passcode you received in an email or calendar invite.
  • Once connected, make sure the far end can hear and see you

Helpful Reminders

Before a scheduled videoconference call, please ensure the Poly Studio X30 or Poly Studio X50 videoconferencing unit is properly set up:

  • Ensure the device is powered on well in advance of the session.
  • The unit must be plugged into a power source and connected to an Ethernet wall port.
