Network Expansion Update

The network expansion project has been gaining momentum since we returned from Summer Break.  We are currently expanding network services to four sites, including Wagmatcook, Sheshatshiu, Elsipogtog and Sipekne'katik.  The expansion is moving along nicely at these sites, with Wagmatcook almost completed, Sheshatishiu scheduled for completion by the end of October and Elsipogtog / Sipekne'katik are slated for completion in November.

We currently have quotes for fibre builds in progress for Bear River and Abegweit, and will move forward with network expansion once the telecommunications builds are completed.

We are also in consultations with Tobique, Eel Ground and We'koqma'q in identifying locations for network expansion and will be moving onto the next phase with them over the next couple of weeks.

Ensuring community consultation and in-person contact, staff have visited Bear River, Sipekne'katik, Lennox Island and Sheshatshiu in the last 2 months to consult with the communities.
