Network Expansion Update - June 2026

The Network Expansion Project achieved significant milestones this quarter, successfully delivering enhanced connectivity to 10 new sites across three communities. Additionally, deployment initiatives are well underway at various stages across multiple sites in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island (PEI).

These expansions drive meaningful value for local communities by lowering operational overhead through optimized connectivity, while simultaneously upgrading network performance, bandwidth, and security. Looking ahead to the next quarter, we will maintain this momentum by continuing our community outreach and expansion efforts.

Network Expansion Update - June 2026

Having recently passed the 1-year mark of our network expansion project, it’s time to provide a comprehensive update on our progress and next steps.  As a reminder, this 3-year, ISC-funded initiative allows all 33 Atlantic First Nation communities to add 2 to 4 additional Band-operated facilities to our secure fibre network. Bringing these buildings online not only ensures data sovereignty and enterprise-grade cybersecurity for your operations but also generates immediate savings by eliminating commercial internet fees for each new site added to our network.
